Food is like fashion. One day you’re in–the next day you’re out. One day it’s good to eat eggs and the next day, eggs will give you a heart attack. Think fish oil’s great for preventing that heart attack? Well, it might just give you cancer. Trying to beat down cancer with soy? It’s probably genetically modified. Ugh. Trying to decide the difference between what’s really good and what’s really bad is often really frustrating. I get it. And then to top it off, you have to make this decision hundreds of thousands of times throughout your lifetime. It’s no wonder even healthy eaters go through periods of food decision fatigue. I’ve got ways to help you manage this food decision fatigue, shop, plan, prep and eat like a nutrition star. Consider me your Tim Gunn. I’m going to help you refine your food decision making process and help you to design a framework that will set the stage for a lifetime of healthy eating.

Food is like fashionMy goal for the new year is to give you inspiring and educational emails, facebook posts, instagram pics, pins, and tweets that will motivate you to make good food decisions. I want you to realize the intimate connection between the food choices you make and your health. Healthy eating doesn’t have to be hard or fatiguing. I’ve also got great meal plans to take the guess-work out of the old what should I eat today dilemma and even better, a 30 Day Classroom Experience that will totally get you headed on the right track.

If you’re suffering from food decision fatigue, here’s the bottom line. Real food wins every time. Eating whole soy (like edamame, not franken-soy products), real eggs (instead of egg substitute), and wild caught salmon (rather than fish oil capsules) is always the best. And by rotating your foods and not eating the same things over and over, you can rest assured that your system can keep what is good and eliminate what’s not. To beat the blues, be sure to try new foods and introduce a variety of flavors, colors and textures. Healthy eating doesn’t have to be hard!
